Job Overview
- Position: Assistant Manager – Purchase
- Company: Jalan Group of Industries (Infrastructure LLP)
- Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
- Job Type: Full-time (In-person role)
- Salary Range: ₹45,000 – ₹55,000 per month
- Experience Required: Minimum 10–15 years (preferably in road/highway construction projects)
- Education: Graduate / Diploma in Material Management
- Gender Preference: Male candidates preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Procuring construction materials such as sand, cement, stone chips, bitumen, etc.
- Handling machinery and material purchases specific to road and highway projects.
- Conducting market research to identify cost-effective suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure the best value.
- Monitoring inventory and stock levels while ensuring timely reorders.
- Maintaining accurate purchase records, vendor payments, and order logs.
- Coordinating with site, store, and delivery teams for smooth procurement.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate or Diploma in Material Management.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in purchase/procurement.
- Prior experience in road/highway construction materials and machinery is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of construction supply chains and vendor management.
- Only male candidates are preferred for this role.
Required Skills
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems.
- Proficiency in procurement processes and material tracking.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery.
Salary
- Monthly Salary: ₹45,000 – ₹55,000 (based on experience & expertise).
