Job Responsibilities
- Engineering & Design
- Lead and mentor the in-house design & engineering team.
- Develop mechanical design concepts and DFM specifications for PPE products.
- Collaborate with toolmakers and production teams for prototype and production readiness.
- Integrate ergonomics, safety, and durability in all product designs.
- New Product Development (NPD)
- Identify market needs and convert them into innovative product opportunities.
- Plan and execute NPD roadmaps aligned with business growth.
- Ensure time-bound and cost-effective launches with cross-functional collaboration.
- Material Expertise
- Select suitable materials (plastics, metals, textiles) for PPE components.
- Work with vendors and QA teams for material testing and compliance.
- Compliance & Certifications
- Ensure all products meet IS, EN, and ANSI standards.
- Coordinate with accredited labs for testing & certifications.
- Innovation & Patents
- Drive innovation in design, comfort, and usability.
- File IPR/patents for proprietary product features.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Design Engineering (mandatory).
- Experience: At least 10 years as a Design Engineer (preferably in PPE/mechanical product design).
