- The Factory Maintenance Executive will be directly responsible for reducing downtime, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring safety compliance across the factory floor. Job Responsibilities
- Machine Maintenance
- Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance of machines like cutting machines, sewing machines (post-bed, flat-bed, cylinder-bed, cylinder-bed), skiving machines, embossing units, conveyors, compressors, splitting machines, and heat presses.
- Performing calibration, alignment, and precision adjustments for optimal performance.
- Electrical & Utility Maintenance
- Managing factory utilities such as power supply, air compressors, and water systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical panels, wiring, and factory lighting systems.
- Spare Parts & Inventory Management
- Maintaining a proper stock of spare parts and consumables.
- Coordinating with vendors for procurement and repair services.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Following and enforcing all safety standards during maintenance work.
- Ensuring fire safety systems and equipment are functional and compliant.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Keeping maintenance logs, service schedules, and breakdown reports.
- Reporting repetitive issues and inefficiencies to higher management.
- Support to Production Team
- Collaborating with production supervisors to plan maintenance during idle machine hours.
- Responding quickly to emergency breakdowns and ensuring smooth operations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related technical field).
- Experience: 2–5 years of practical experience in factory maintenance, preferably in leather, garment, or light manufacturing industries.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial sewing machines and leather processing equipment.
- Hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and machine manuals.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software (preferred but optional).
- Awareness of industrial safety protocols and compliance standards.
