Job Responsibilities
- 🔧 Machine Maintenance
- Conduct preventive & corrective maintenance of leather processing machinery, including:
- Hydraulic & pneumatic cutting machines
- Sewing machines (post-bed, flat-bed, cylinder-bed)
- Skiving, embossing, heat press, and edge-finishing units
- Compressors, conveyors, and leather splitting machines
- Perform calibration and alignment of precision tools.
- ⚡ Electrical & Utility Maintenance
- Maintain power supply, lighting systems, air compressors & water utilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, wiring, and machine circuits.
- 📦 Spare Parts & Inventory Management
- Maintain essential spare parts stock.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement and servicing.
- 🛡 Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure factory safety protocols during maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with fire safety standards.
- 📝 Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain service schedules, breakdown logs & preventive maintenance records.
- Report recurring technical issues to management.
- 👨🏭 Production Support
- Schedule maintenance during machine idle hours.
- Provide immediate support during emergency breakdowns.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 2–5 years in factory maintenance, preferably in leather, garment, or light manufacturing industries.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial sewing & leather machinery.
- Hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical & pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read & interpret technical manuals & diagrams.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software (preferred).
- Awareness of factory safety protocols.
Salary
- Salary Range: ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per month (based on experience & skill).
