Job description
Introduction:
As a Software Engineer in the Triumph product team, you will be responsible for the functional testing, i.e. SIT, of the Triumph changes for the project and for supporting the release and E2E testing. The functional testing will involve preparation of the Test Plan to cover the testing scope, approach, schedule, test scenarios, etc. You could also be required to play a fungible role and pick up detail design, build and unit testing tasks in a project.
What will you be doing?
- Understand the project requirements and produce the SIT Test Plan to cover the testing scope, approach, schedule, test scenarios, etc.
- Understand the project HLD and produce the detail design.
- Understand the detail design and carry out the build & unit testing.
- Present the Test Plan, test scenarios, test evidences to the project stakeholders.
- Produce the SIT Test Closure Report and secure its sign-off as per the estimated timeline.
- Adhere to the Triumph delivery model and on time highlight any project RAIDs to the project stakeholders.
- Automation of the critical SIT test cases as a ready to use asset for regression testing in future.
- Contribute to Knowledge Repository by documenting the new learnings from the current project.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams for improving delivery efficiency.
- Collaborate with the larger testing community to share knowledge and best practices.
What we’re looking for:
- Good Cards Domain knowledge with hands-on experience in mainframe, relational database, SQL, testing tools & processes, JIRA and automation.
- Good experience in comprehending the project solution designs and thereby assessing the testing scope, testing approach, timeline, etc.
- Ability to manage project stakeholders through verbal and written communication, highlighting the project RAIDs and options for their mitigation.
- Ability to run project defect meetings, produce daily project status dashboard, etc.
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Functional experience of Triumph card processor.
- Prior experience in mainframe application development or solution design.
- Domain or Testing certifications will be nice to have.
