Job description
Job Summary:
- This position will directly report to Supervisor.
- Responsible for proper setup, operation, process trouble shooting of injection molding machines.
- Monitors the molding process to ensure product quality.
- Make sure molding process monitoring systems are effectively utilized and data captured on time.
- Support installing and maintaining the Cavity pressure monitoring systems (RJG / Comoneo)
- Make sure molding machines are achieving OEE as required.
- Executes daily production tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Min2- 5 Years experience as a mold setter / Process technician / NPD technician/operator in injection molding.
- Diploma/ITI or equivalent.
- Preferable to have experience handling Vertical Injection molding machine.
- Should have hands on experience to process engineering plastic like PEEK, PAEK, PPS, POM, NYLON, Glass filled material.
- Should be able to handle all kind of Injection Mold processing like Insert Molding, Slider Molds, Hot Runner Molds, Mold with Lifters etc.
- Recommended any exposure and experience with Scientific injection molding methodology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, specifications and/or codes.
- Supervise mold changeover and production startup.
- Analyse and troubleshoot molding process to maintain quality and maximum product output.
- Strictly following Master cycle sheet and ensure molding process is running as per established parameters.
- Strictly following the systems and procedures developed for Injection molding process.
- Notify Supervisor of quality issues and safety issues and assist with correction of safety and production quality as necessary.
- Basic robot handling setup and startup as per procedure.
- Ensure molding machines are running in a prescribed cycle time and yield.
- Significant contribution required for reducing yield and improving OEE.
- Filling of required process detail in prescribed format of a particular molding process and maintain history of the same.
- Support automation team to run the IM process with full automation.
- Supervise and guide the machine operators to achieve maximum productivity.
- Trims excess material from part, using knife.
- Make sure molding process monitoring systems are effectively utilized and data captured on time.
- Support installing and maintaining the Cavity pressure monitoring systems (RJG / Comoneo)
- Repairs and maintains machines and auxiliary equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
- Execute other tasks as assigned by the supervisor/Manager.
- Visually inspects products for cosmetic defects and any issues due to cosmetic or dimensions, work with IPQC to resolve the issue.
