🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Registrar:
Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Desirable: Minimum 5 years of relevant administrative experience in educational or research institutions in a supervisory role (Pay Level 8 or above).

Junior Assistant:
Bachelor’s degree with knowledge of computer office applications.
💰 Salary
- Assistant Registrar: Pay Matrix Level 10 – Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 177,500 per month
- Junior Assistant: Pay Matrix Level 3 – Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month
🔞 Age Limit (as on 13-01-2026)
- Assistant Registrar: Up to 35 years
- Junior Assistant: Up to 27 years
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules
- No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati
💵 Application Fee
- Assistant Registrar: Rs. 1000/- (General / OBC-NCL)
- Junior Assistant: Rs. 500/- (General / OBC-NCL)
- SC/ST/Women/PWBD: Exempted from fee
