Job Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor students in railway schools.
- Prepare, plan, and deliver effective classroom lessons.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a healthy learning environment.
- Evaluate and assess students’ progress regularly.
- Collaborate with school administration and colleagues.
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate Teacher (PGT): Postgraduate degree + B.Ed. in relevant subject.
- Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): Graduation + B.Ed./D.El.Ed + CTET or equivalent certification.
- Primary Teacher (PRT): Graduation or 12th with D.El.Ed/B.Ed + valid teaching certification.
- Physical Training Instructor (PTI): Graduate with B.P.Ed./Physical Training diploma.
- Librarian: Degree in Library Sciences.
- Lab Assistant: 12th pass with Science (Physics & Chemistry).
- Music Teacher: Bachelor’s in Music.
- Female Junior Teacher (Junior School): 12th pass + Elementary teaching qualification + TET.
- Age Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 48 years (with relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms).
Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)—Written exam for all posts.
- Skill Test/Interview—For specific roles such as PTI and Music Teacher.
- Document Verification & Medical Examination – As per RRB rules.
Salary
- Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): ₹47,600/month (Pay Scale 8)
- Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): ₹44,900/month (Pay Scale 7)
- Primary Teacher (PRT): ₹35,400/month
- Librarian / PTI / Music Teacher: ₹35,400/month approx.
- Female Junior Teacher: ₹35,400/month approx.
