Job Overview
- Position: WTP (Water Treatment Plant) Technician
- Company: IDEAS ENGINEERING WORKS
- Location: Kolkata, West Bengal (Sonarpur)
- Salary Range: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month (based on experience & portfolio)
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Shifts: Rotational, Night shifts, Weekends included
- Experience Required: 3–7 years (Freshers not eligible)
- Age Limit: 25–45 years (male candidates only)
- Work Location: Pan India basis (willingness to travel required)
Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring water quality: Conduct tests on water samples (pH, turbidity, chlorine levels, etc.) to meet required safety standards
- Adjusting treatment processes: Modify equipment settings and treatment processes to maintain regulatory compliance
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate logs of water treatment activities, chemical usage, maintenance schedules, and test results
- Responding to emergencies: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions quickly to reduce downtime and avoid water supply disruption
- Ensuring compliance: Follow all rules and regulations set by government and environmental authorities (such as EPA standards)
- Collaboration: Work with other plant operators and technicians for smooth operations and preventive maintenance
- Continuous improvement: Stay updated on the latest water treatment technologies and guidelines to improve efficiency
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Diploma, ITI Technician, or Graduation in a technical field
- Valid water treatment operator certification/license (as per local regulatory authority)
- Experience: 3–7 years in water treatment plants or similar industry background (mandatory)
- Age Limit: 25–45 years
- Freshers will not be considered
- Must be willing to work on rotational shifts, weekends, and night shifts
- Female candidates are not eligible for this role
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Attention to detail for monitoring water samples and analyzing data
- Ability to work independently and take quick decisions during emergencies
- Proficient in computer operations (data entry, analysis, and reporting)
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills for coordinating with other technicians
Salary
- Base Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month (based on qualifications and portfolio)
- Performance-based increments: 2%–15% yearly (based on performance)
- Bonus: Annual performance bonus available
