Job Responsibilities
- Production & Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day production activities, including assembly, soldering, wiring, testing, and packaging of electronic devices like chargers, inverters, and converters.
- Ensure smooth allocation of manpower, effective daily planning, and continuous monitoring of work progress to achieve targets.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize machine breakdowns and ensure all tools, raw materials, and components are available on time.
- Maintain cost efficiency by monitoring rejection rates and reducing wastage through proactive supervision.
- Quality Assurance
- Enforce adherence to ISO standards, company SOPs, and customer requirements throughout the production cycle.
- Perform in-process inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure defect-free products.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to identify quality issues, implement corrective measures, and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure continuous improvement in quality by introducing better practices and monitoring compliance.
- Team Management
- Supervise, guide, and mentor operators, technicians, and junior staff to ensure they meet performance expectations.
- Conduct daily meetings to communicate work assignments, production targets, and safety guidelines.
- Train employees on new technologies, updated processes, and industry best practices.
- Handle workforce management, including performance evaluation, absenteeism control, and maintaining workplace discipline.
- Process Improvement & Reporting
- Analyze bottlenecks in the production process and recommend improvements to increase output and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and updated records related to production outputs, rework rates, manpower utilization, and downtime.
- Prepare and present daily/weekly reports to the Production Manager highlighting performance, issues, and corrective actions.
- Support in implementing Lean Manufacturing practices and other process optimization strategies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- 5–8 years of experience in production supervision within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Prior experience in handling production lines for chargers, inverters, converters, SMPS, or related products will be highly preferred.
- Practical exposure to workforce management and familiarity with modern manufacturing practices.
Required Skills
- Strong technical expertise in electronics assembly processes, including PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, and testing
- Practical knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), wave soldering, and manual soldering practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Leadership qualities with proven experience in managing shop floor teams and driving performance improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to take proactive measures under pressure.
- Effective communication and reporting skills to bridge the gap between workers and management.
- A proactive and deadline-oriented approach to managing multiple production lines.
