Job Overview
- Gemtech Projects LLP is hiring Production Engineers for its railway component manufacturing division in Dhulagori, Howrah. The role is a full-time, permanent position and requires professionals with expertise in fabrication, welding, production planning, and railway component assembly.
- This position is best suited for experienced mechanical engineers or diploma holders who have worked in CLW component manufacturing, inspection, and large-scale production planning.
Job Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Execution—Managing basic and detailed production schedules of CLW railway components as per engineering drawings.
- Inspection & Quality Control – Checking detail parts, subassemblies, and assemblies to maintain strict quality standards.
- Labor & Team Management – Efficient handling of workers to maximize production output.
- Fabrication Process Oversight—Supervising activities like plate marking, fabrication, welding, dimensional checks, and final completion of railway components.
- Component Manufacturing & Inspection –
- Centre Underframe for WAP-7, WAG-9HC, WAG-9HH & WAG-9H Twin.
- Centersill for WAP-5, WAP-7, and WAG-9 series.
- Bolster for WAP-5, WAP-7, WAG-9HC, and WAG-9HH.
- Sidewall for WAP-7, WAG-9 series.
- Shell Assembly for WAP-5, WAP-7, WAG-9HC, WAG-9HH & aerodynamic WAP-5 locomotives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in railway component production.
- Prior work experience in CLW component manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Age Limit: Generally up to 40 years (may vary depending on experience).
- Location: Must be willing to work at Dhulagori, Howrah, West Bengal.
Required Skills
- Strong production planning & execution skills.
- Expertise in fabrication, welding, and dimensional inspections.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
