Job Overview
Aartaa Decor is inviting applications for the role of Product Designer – CAD & Visual Development, based in Seal Lane, Kolkata, West Bengal.
The role focuses on transforming creative ideas into technical product drawings and 3D CAD visuals to support design and production teams. It is an ideal opportunity for candidates with CAD expertise (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp) who have a keen eye for design and luxury aesthetics.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a monthly salary ranging between ₹10,000 and ₹30,467, depending on skills and experience. The position is also open to freshers, making it a perfect stepping stone for aspiring product designers.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts for luxury home décor items and lighting fixtures.
- Create accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D product visuals using CAD tools.
- Prepare detailed product specifications for manufacturing (dimensions, finishes, joinery, assembly instructions).
- Work closely with artisans, engineers, and vendors to finalize design aspects.
- Render high-quality product visuals for catalogs, websites, and client presentations.
- Support creative teams in rapid prototyping, sample development, and revisions.
- Collaborate in maintaining brand aesthetics and design consistency across products.
Eligibility Criteria
- A Diploma/Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in product, furniture, or lighting design (freshers may also apply).
- A strong portfolio of product concepts, CAD drawings, and visuals.
- Understanding of materials, proportions, finishes, and design-to-manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of luxury décor aesthetics will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- 2D CAD Drawing: AutoCAD, DraftSight
- 3D Modeling: SolidWorks (required), Rhino, Fusion 360, SketchUp
- Rendering Tools: KeyShot, V-Ray, Blender (preferred for visuals)
- Graphic Design Support: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
- Others: Strong sense of materials, detailing, and product finishing
Salary
- Pay Scale: ₹10,000 – ₹30,467 per month
