Job Responsibilities
- Production Supervision
- Plan, monitor, and control production to achieve daily/weekly targets.
- Ensure smooth functioning of chemical processes, machinery, and equipment.
- Maintain shift-wise production records, reports, and logbooks.
- Team Management
- Supervise and allocate tasks to operators, helpers, and shift staff.
- Provide on-the-job training to ensure safety and skill development.
- Monitor discipline, attendance, and performance of team members.
- Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Work with the Quality Control team for testing and process adjustments.
- Detect and resolve quality issues on time.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with factory safety rules and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety drills and participate in incident investigations.
- Process Optimization
- Identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Implement cost-saving measures and best manufacturing practices.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with the maintenance team for preventive/breakdown repairs.
- Report production status to management on a daily basis.
- Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, and procurement teams to maintain workflow
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing or process industry.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work in rotational shifts and in a chemical factory environment.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of chemical processes and production equipment.
- Knowledge of safety norms and statutory compliance.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office and ERP systems preferred).
