Job description:

Evoqua Water Technologies India Private Limited Hiring Mechanical Engineering Trainee

Primary Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for Engineering, designs, standardization, localization, and optimization of existing products/systems according to the project requirements, also for new products developments.
• Perform Product/Project engineering and standardization of water treatment (WT) products and systems.
• Perform conceptual as well as detail design using 2D/3D CAD softwares; activities such as create Piping and Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), General Arrangement (GA), isometric & detail fabrication drawings for water treatment products, vessels, frames, and pipe routing and generate Bill of Materials (BOM) with part numbers according to different shop floor requirements, ECN processing, based on project or business requirements.
• Engineering level FEA requires to perform in line with assigned product design or in specific projects wise.

• Responsible for providing technical assistance, detailing equipment selections, specifications and production of design deliverables to support a variety of Water Technologies products and systems.
• Responsible for equipment sizing and material selections for pumps, piping, valves, vessels (both metallic and non-metallic) and other sizing’s like filters, blowers, compressed air systems, fans, heat-exchangers, tanks, welding & bolt sizing, etc. according to industry standards and applicable codes.
• Responsible in preparation of plant layout drawings including civil construction requirement details, pipework system designs, chemical storage and transfer system arrangements, compressed air treatment systems and pneumatic controls system designs.
• Assist in resolving design issues during manufacture, installation, commissioning and operation of WT products and systems, and liaise with customers with respect to legacy design issues.
• Create innovations for differentiated product design with validated analysis and assist in protection of specific Intellectual Property Rights.
• Evaluate and ensure the assigned work and summarize the technical activity to convey the results to global product managers and engineers as necessary.
• Organize and actively participate in international conference calls for engineering reviews with the respective stake holders globally and deliver on promises.
• Up to 15% International travel may be required.

Requirements:

• (UG - B. Tech/B.E. – Mechanical) AND (PG- M. Tech - Any Specialization)
• Mechanical Engineering qualification with minimum of 0~2 years of engineering and design experiences.
• Preferred domain experiences on Process water treatment systems or equivalent design industry experience - such as power, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, marine, oil and gas industry etc.,
• Strong fundamentals in Materials (metalic & non-metalic), structural engineering and vibration, mechanical machine designs, Hydraulics design and fluid flows, heat transfers and manufacturing process.
• Experience with structural steelwork construction and design. And experience of pipe & structural steelwork welding methods, codes and techniques.
• Experience in AutoCAD, parametric solid modeling (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred or other 3D modelling tools).
• Knowledge in FEA using ANSYS/STAAD Pro in product design or in specific projects.
• Knowledge in the pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II will be advantage.
• Experienced in working with international global teams is a preferred with exceptional communication skills.
